This journey into the heart of Qinghai, on the high Tibetan plateau, takes you to an untouched world, far from everything.
Day after day, you capture the soul of a Tibet that remains alive, vibrant, and above all, authentic.
Welcome to Qinghai, China — one of the last truly forgotten regions of the world.
Discover a corner of the world still rarely visited, far off the beaten path and light years away from mass tourism.
Here, there are no organized tours, no buses, no souvenir shops. Just space, mountains, and encounters with local people.
Qinghai is Tibetan land at its most alive: a people, a language, monasteries clinging to the hills, nomadics, flocks, songs, dances, and gestures rooted in daily life. And yet, you’ll barely see another visitor. No Chinese tourists, and even fewer Western travelers — you’ll probably encounter no other foreigners the entire trip.Just you, your gaze, and a world unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Intimate and tailor-made road trips crafted with photographers in mind
Each journey is designed to immerse you slowly in this untouched world, guided by the rhythm of light and encounters. We create these itineraries together during preparatory meetings, which is why you won’t find any pre-set routes here. My role is to share with you my knowledge of the land and its people, so that you can experience exactly the journey you desire.
You travel with me and a Tibetan driver, alone or with just one other photographer, never more, so we can preserve the absolute freedom to stop:
- at a mountain pass overlooking a breathtaking landscape,
- for tea offered by a nomadic family we meet by chance,
- at the crossing of wild animals,
- or simply to wait as the light reshapes the land.
These are not guided tours. They are open routes, meant to be lived and captured as they unfold. Faces, villages, herds, dust, glances, silences.
Each season changes the scenery. Each journey writes its own story.
