EXPEDITIONS IN
THE TIBETAN QINGHAI

Welcome to Qinghai, China, one of the last truly forgotten regions of the world.
Qinghai is Tibetan land in its most vibrant expression: a people, a language, a territory rising above 4,000 meters in altitude where nomads still hold sway, monasteries clinging to the hillsides, herds of yaks and horses, songs, dances, gestures rooted in everyday life. You have probably never heard of Qinghai, and for good reason. Here there are no tourists, and even fewer Western travelers.
Everything remains to be explored.

Tailor-made road trips, designed by and for photographers.
Each journey is carefully crafted to immerse you in an intact Tibetan world. We design these routes together, which is why you will find no pre-established itineraries here. My role is to share with you my deep knowledge of the land and its people, so that your journey becomes exactly the one you envision.
You travel alone or with one other photographer – never more – to preserve the spontaneity and authenticity of each encounter.

WHO I AM ?
My name is Laurence Chellali. A French photographer based in China since 2015, I have spent these years exploring a land of inexhaustible human and cultural richness. This country continues to surprise me, and among its many faces, the Tibetan people hold a very special place in my heart.
I travel very regularly to Qinghai Province, where I have built strong and lasting bonds over the years. Nomads, academics, artists, monks, or ordinary workers: these encounters, grounded in trust and shared experience, have allowed me to deepen my understanding of their ways of life, their traditions, and their relationship to the world.
I am not a travel agency. I am, above all, a photographer. My commitment is to build bridges between cultures, to guide curious and respectful eyes, and to foster authentic encounters, as close as possible to the realities of human life.
